This piece explores the experience of immigrating abroad through the metaphor of a flower carried across the world. Like the flower, immigrants leave familiar roots behind, travel through unfamiliar places, and adapt to new environments while carrying pieces of home with them. The layered collage and fragmented forms reflect journeys shaped by memory, displacement, and change. Yet, despite the challenges of migration, the work celebrates the ability to adapt, bloom, and create beauty in new surroundings. Paper collage and oil paint on canvas.
